Overland Expo East is jam-packed with exhibitors, classes, and events to help you get equipped, educated, and inspired to get out and explore. And with events all across the country you can visit an Overland Expo as a long weekend, or make it a part of a bigger trip. And to get the most out of the event you should take a look at the option of camping onsite. Not only do you get to experience the event, but you’ll meet like-minded folks who love adventure, camping, and exploring the backcountry. When you walk through camping areas, you’re guaranteed to see neighbors sharing meals, people checking out each other’s gear, and plenty of shared laughs. And event after event, we hear stories of attendees who make new friends and future travel companions while camping at an Overland Expo. Some even go on to head off to Alaska together, no seriously you can read about it here.

Beyond the camaraderie, you also get to stay within easy walking distance of all of the action Overland Expo East has to offer without needing to rush. This allows you to enjoy the evening activities and really dive into the community. No matter what part of the outdoors lifestyle you love or how you get out into the wilderness, Overland Expo undoubtedly has something for you. The attendees, exhibitors, and staff all share a passion for backcountry adventures across a wide range of endeavors.

Amongst the hundreds of exhibitors, you’ll find plenty of familiar names. Yamaha, LAND Moto, Midland Radio, Benchmade Knives, Mountain House, and many more. Plus, we have hundreds of smaller companies that you may not have heard of, but they still make some great gear. Just recently, we met some great folks from Pacific Adventure Works, Midnight Forest, and Suweeka Bike Racks, and they all make amazing products designed to help you enjoy your time outside. No matter if you camp for the sake of camping or if you’re heading out to climb, paddle, bike, or fish, there’s plenty of gear to increase your capability and comfort on your next trip.

Overland Expo East isn’t just about the gear; we have hundreds of class hours covering everything from backcountry cooking and canine first aid to gear repair and astronomy. All of these classes are taught by passionate enthusiasts and experienced travelers from every corner of the community.

When the sun goes down, Overland Expo East keeps going! Each night, there are Happy Hours, where everyone comes together, enjoys a drink or two, and plans the rest of their evening. You can head out to a booth party, check out the film festival, or win some awesome prizes at the Overland Expo Foundation Charity Raffle. No matter which one you choose, you’re bound to have a great time and meet some fellow adventurers who share your passion for exploration!

Be sure to grab your tickets for Overland Expo East, October 4-6, 2024, in Arrington, VA!
